Fun For The Family Day & Food Drive In Southern Village
The Matt Czajkowski for Mayor campaign is pleased to present a Fun for the Family Day & Food Drive on the Village Green in Southern Village on Sunday, November 1st from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Highlights of the afternoon’s event will be a performance by the popular musical group, ‘Southern Routes’, a variety of activities for children, and a food drive to support The IFC Food Kitchen.
The band ‘Southern Routes’ has been active on the local scene, and will be performing an upbeat, dance-able mix of rock, blues, jazz & gospel, with Caribbean influences and lots of Southern flair. Featuring rich vocal harmonies, band members are Richard Tazewell on keys & vocals, Callie Warner on vocals & guitar, Christen Campbell on vocals, Rick Keena on guitar, Jeff Brown on sax, and David Shore on drums. ‘Southern Routes’ will play from 1:00 to 2:30 in a fun performance that will appeal to all ages.
Kids’ activities, including a Bounce House, lots of balls, hula hoops and games, will be available all afternoon.
At 2:30, Matt Czajkowski will make some brief remarks and take questions from the audience.
Receptacles for non-perishable food donations will be available on The Village Green.
The public is invited to this outdoor, family-friendly afternoon. Feel free to bring a picnic, plus lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
